Customer Review: “I have been using these—with groups of children—it is pure magic…”

Review of n.o.w. Tone Therapy System:
“I have been using these for myself and with groups of children. It is pure magic because it cannot be described with words how these sounds get inside your mind and soothe you. I was at a school working with 150 restless children. I told the Principal I was going to meditate with them for 3 minutes. Her response: ‘Good luck.’ Well, I stood there with my eyes closed. To my right and to my left a child held each speaker. The room grew still as the children focused on the gentle tones. I could physically feel their minds slowing down. By the time we were done it was like the clouds had lifted. We were all in the same room, in the same school, on the same planet. Instant clarity.”

Barry, who wrote the above feedback, is the creator of a school program called “Force Field for Good.” It is all about building character and kindness, with an aim to be pro-goodness rather than anti-badness. He is a singer, songwriter, writer, and a force for good himself. We got to know Barry as an early enthusiast for the n.o.w. Tone Therapy System which he incorporated into his work with children. He is as lovable as you might imagine, but very serious when it comes to building joy and possibility in students.
All of you who are headed back into the classroom this fall of 2021 have my biggest hopes for health and cooperation, learning and stimulation together, and a rippling outward and back inward, toward you, of calm, serenity, inspiration, enlightenment, joy, fun and peace. And, homework that just flows easily for you! That was not my favorite part of school—in fact nothing was my favorite part. I struggled.
When I read Barry’s testimonial above, I insert him into my past where his message could have helped lift me up out of my resistance to all that was school. What a gift to have someone enter the scene and show us how to stop the frustration in its tracks and regain ourselves, just a little at a time. I saw a video of Barry using the n.o.w. with some children at a school, and he asked them to listen to the Tones with their eyes closed, and try to feel the stillness and the kindness inside.
What a great start that is. And really, what a great whole, to feel within yourself the stillness and the kindness. This awareness is the building block of a better self, a better community, a better world. It is true that the n.o.w. Tones played in any 3 minute session can bring the listener quickly to that space where the power of calm can envelope the moment; it is a place where thoughts are gently shushed and swept aside, where what is good has a moment to breathe—this is a small yet vast miracle that can happen again and again and again, leading us toward maintaining this feeling at all times. Is miracle too big of a word? Hardly. Getting the clawing, ceaseless, self-interested and generally negative chhhhhaaattttter of the mind to relax, to just stop and give us a break and a breath and the feel of a smile, that IS a miracle.
What a perfect addition to school life, be you student, educator, administrator, parent—n.o.w. can be the quickest and deepest reset for your mind, so that your mind can do what it needs to be quick and deep all by itself. Such doses of peace in the day can help free the mind up to tackle studying, homework, gym, the bus, all with less worry about everything.
You can try a session of the Tones for yourself right now, HERE, and feel what it’s like to have n.o.w. bring a moment of good to your mind and your body, a moment that will speak to only you in your own way. As Barry would advise, take a breath and, while you listen, let yourself feel inside to a stillness and a kindness that is waiting there, in the peace.
Lastly: Happy Back to SCHOOL!!! Rah RAH, and happy all other things besides!! I believe in you all—let’s keep opening up to shared support and health, big smiles and, if you’re in a mask, then beautiful smiling eyes. We do NOT need to change it all, we just need to do a step at a time. So please keep stepping, and listening, and breathing—the world needs you. XO and onward ho!
