What is the relationship between truth and peace? Could it be that peace follows from a dedication to truth?
The intentional lies, misstatements, obfuscations and reversals of position we see in the daily news give rise to disquiet, incredulity, lack of trust, anger –– a lack of peace. How could one be at peace with information that is so changeable and inconsistent? Where is the peaceful resting place we can trust?
The path to peace is not better information or “better thoughts” that counter the thoughts and statements of people with whom we disagree. This is a never ending path the egoic mind wants to travel because it perpetuates a dramatic struggle between opposing thoughts, and thereby perpetuates itself.
About 2500 years ago the ancient Chinese sage and author of the Tao Te Ching said “Stop thinking, and end your problems”. I understand this teaching to mean problem solving begins with a silent surrender to, and acceptance of, the problem at hand as it currently exists. Surrender to, and acceptance of a situation means that one is willing to “not know”, at least initially, in order to allow true knowledge to arise.
Not knowing the solution to a problem is the ground from which answers grow. And if the problem is a lack of peace (as most are) then a trusting focus on truth and disengagement from untruth, will result in peace. What is true can be relied upon and this supports a recognition of peace. What is false provides no such foundation as falsehood continues to shift and slither away.
Truth in Sound
The N.O.W. Tone Therapy System provides instant access to immutable truths and these are experienced as a peaceful relaxation response. Having remembered what peace feels like the N.O.W. listener gains practice at recognizing truth when it is encountered or sought in the world, and thus is more able to feel at peace in the midst of worldly turmoil.
The New Origin Waveform tones used in N.O.W. have three foundational pitch relationships drawn from the naturally occurring harmonic series –– unison, octave and perfect fifth. These are vibratory frequency relationships that occur in the voice, in plucked strings, with wind instruments or in other tuned systems that can be set into oscillation to produce sound.
The harmonic series just occurs. It is one of the wonders of the universe that the sequence 1,2,3 exists and that vibratory frequency ratios of 1:1 (unison), 2:1 (octave) and 3:2 (perfect 5th) naturally arise from tuned systems set into oscillation. This is truth in sound.
Because N.O.W. uses non-verbal, non-symbolic sounds it bypasses rational understanding –– there are no words to hear, process, understand and react to.
Rather, N.O.W. delivers an intensely concentrated sound field of true tonal relationships drawn from the naturally occurring harmonic series. N.O.W., by design, reduces the prevalence of inharmonic relationships (experienced as dissonance) and increases the prevalence of harmonious relationships (experienced as truth) and thus gives rise to an at-peace response.
N.O.W. is a portal to the peace that arises when one stops thinking and becomes aware of truth beyond words. This is the still place of consciousness from which true solutions to problems arise in the form of new insights.
Albert Einstein said: “I think 99 times and find nothing. I stop thinking, swim in silence, and the truth comes to me.”
We at solu say: “Just Listen“.
