As its name implies, the focus of the product called N.O.W., is the present moment. And by moment to moment extension, N.O.W. also concerns the future.
By design, N.O.W. has a singularly unique feature drawn from the way the universe works regarding the present and the future. With contemplation, this feature of N.O.W. can be used to extend one’s inner-looking vision outward, and manifest in the world, what one wishes to observe.
N.O.W. is a system of creating a new and unique sonic moment each time it is used. The “forward-looking” power of N.O.W. is established in the final moment after the tones have faded away, but before N.O.W. powers itself off.
In that brief interval between cessation of tones and power off, N.O.W. generates internal instructions that define, in part, the nature of the tone sequences that will be heard the next time N.O.W. is used. One way of describing this is to say N.O.W. generates its own DNA in its final moments of tone-life to ensure a variation of its tonal self will occur in some future moment.
In other words, N.O.W. defines, in broad terms, a “future” beginning (a new origin) at the terminus of its present tone-life. This is why we use the acronym N.O.W. –– it stands for New Origin Waveforms. N.O.W. is a physical embodiment of the idea of the “future”, arising, from a sequence of present moments –– the only “time” there is.
The so called “future” is nothing more than an extension of the present moment. When one contemplates this reality, one can couple one’s intentions (internal visualizations) to the final moments of N.O.W.’s three minute life cycle and thus influence future N.O.W. moments.
A Course in Miracles describe this idea in this way: “You must look in before you look out. As you look in you choose the guide for seeing, then you look out and behold its witnesses. This is why you find what you seek. What you want in yourself you will make manifest, and you will accept it from the world because you put it there by wanting it.”
Sounds like quantum physics to me. Or manifestation, to use a metaphysical term.
As I’ve noted before, the challenge with manifestation is not that it doesn’t work. No, the challenge is to “be careful what you wish for as you might just get it”. In other words, manifestation that arises from egoic desire is going to bring trouble. The insubstantial ego always tries to substantiate itself through identification with form (thought forms, emotions, physical forms like objects or people) and set those forms into conflict with each other in order to enjoy the drama that ensues.
On the other hand, N.O.W. is a system that helps one experience gaps of intentional no-thought (ego-free) awareness. As such, N.O.W. can function as a neutral ground of stillness onto which contemplative ideation can be placed and allowed to extend outward. Contrast this with egoic manifestation ….
Egoic manifestation is concerned with projecting ideas into the world with the goal of substantiating the ego itself. For example, my ego could have the idea that I “should” be a rich and famous musician (it does not, just using this an example) because I would feel really great being a rich and famous musician with a string of babelicious consorts at my side.
A more mundane and achievable example? Hmmm … trucks are a good example.
Every truck is marketed by appealing to someone’s egoic self-identity. A “Ram Tough” Dodge truck with a 6.7 liter turbo diesel engine with 385 horsepower and 900 foot-pounds of torque coupled to a loud custom exhaust system says one thing –– “bad ass”, while a little Nissan Frontier with its fuel efficient 2.5 liter, 4 cylinder engine with 152 horse power and 171 foot-pounds of torque says another –– “eco friendly”. No matter the size of the truck, both trucks are form-concepts that two different drivers’ egos can identify with.
Non-egoic manifestation is more abstract, and less concerned with clearly articulated forms. For example, non-egoic “conscious” manifestation could be directed toward contemplation (by this I mean non-thought awareness) of Truth, Abundance, Infinite Love, Patience, Peace … Non-egoic, “conscious” manifestation can even be directed toward more concrete forms: a new job, a new car, a new house –– without danger, if one can remain non-attached to the form-object and not have one’s consciousness become identified with the particular form-object. A slippery slope as you’ve probably experienced.
This is the big problem the proponents of manifestation systems like “The Secret” ignore –– most manifestation is ego-driven and destined to eventually cause suffering as one form after another eventually dissolves or loses its luster and the ego seeks a replacement in another form –– the suffering cycle of form-attachment / dissolution of form, continuing.
Users of the N.O.W. Tone Therapy System can learn to experience longer and longer moments of no-thought awareness, experience the arising of new insights, and gently “seed” these moments with the non-egoic intentions they wish to see made manifest in the external world. “Seek, and ye shall find” it has been said.
